In this 70-square-metre flat for two adults, we embraced true minimalism: a design philosophy that favours clarity, function and restraint over decoration.
The client asked for unobtrusive colours, so the palette is built around black, white and dark brown tones. To bring in a touch of warmth and character, we introduced ochre leather-back chairs as subtle accent pieces.
All surfaces are kept minimal: furniture and appliances with clean shapes, virtually no curves or additional ornamentation. Everything that isn’t essential is hidden inside closed storage systems — books, kitchen utensils and everyday items are out of sight.
Two bathrooms allow for variation: the master uses dark granite, the guest uses light marble with black veins — a restrained contrast within the overall minimalist context.
