For a children’s library reading room in Warsaw, our studio drew inspiration from Klimahaus Bremerhaven and the way insects perceive the world — vertical grass-like textures, gentle hills for seating, and a calm, immersive atmosphere.
The main seating areas are deliberately varied: a traditional table, and a custom-designed “hill-stand” where children can sit as on a gentle slope. Wall surfaces with vertical relief evoke a meadow-like impression, bringing movement and texture into the space.
The result is a reading room that feels both adventurous and safe — a space where young readers can explore, imagine and relax. Designed with ecological awareness (style: Eco) and realised in 2023, this project emphasises material honesty, sensory richness and a playful yet calm environment.
Visit Klimahaus, you obviously will be impressed.
